CREATING EARTHTONES
Nate Poeppel
Founder
I’ve spent the last decade fully immersed in audio, video and nature. I’ve toured the entire US with a rock band, mixed arena-sized corporate events and have recorded, shot and edited thousands of projects for clients all around the country.
I solo traveled North America with a van, free climbed desert mountains, and I’ve ridden motorcycles through the woods of the Canadian Rockies and the jungles of Indonesia. It’s been an interesting ride for a guy who grew up in small town South Dakota.
My interest for audio showed up early in my life. I started recording and mixing music projects when I was 14 years old and it became a business and passion for me in my early college days. The process of mixing audio is a beautiful blend between emotional awareness and technical problem solving. Hearing art in its raw form, identifying the obstacles within it and then clearing those obstacles to enhance the message is the path I take on every project. It’s the purpose of what I do.
After 12 years of working as a freelancer and traveling alone, I knew it was time to build something bigger than myself. I created Earthtones to enable others to freely express their passions, their energy - their message. I believe in creating content based around real people who are speaking authentically from their life perspective. The bridge between the human experience and the medium of audio/video is the reason I chose the name “Earthtones”.
Thanks for taking the time to learn more about my story. Please reach out if you need any assistance from our team. We’d love to make the most of what you’re creating.
“I cannot recommend Earthtones more highly. Nate is very easy to work with, collaborative and generous with his knowledge. He helped me get my entire podcast set up– from opening stinger, to equipment, to recording software, social promotion and all. He made it super easy for me to produce my podcast while still running my business. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without him.”
